Introduction

As William Afton has only been seen in some of the flashback mini-games, it is difficult to determine his exact appearance. In these mini-games. He is depicted as an adult man. About as tall as the animatronics (sometimes more giant). His elf colour ranging from various shades of purple depending on the mini-game.

However, he is pink in two mini-games. And perhaps orange in one. It should be noted that it appears purple because it simply hides in the shadows and not because it would exist purple.

The only inveterate aspect of his appearance is that he has a slit on his chin. As shown by his decomposed corpse inside Springtrap in Five Nights at Freddy’s three and Pizzeria Simulator. It has given rise to speculation.

As Fazbear Entertainment is depicted by a man dressed in a purple (and in some cases red) suit and hat in different scenes from Pizzeria Simulator. A man who also has a slit on his chin. Whether or not this man is William has not been confirmed. But they both likely have a split chin. Represented by the colour purple, and possibly orange.

Roles of William Afton

He is the invisible dominant antagonist of the first Five Nights at Freddy’s and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. A major antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. And a minor character in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.
William Afton may also have been the secondary antagonist of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, the main antagonist of Ultimate Custom Night and the posthumous main antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted (unless it is Glitchtrap).

He later became Springtrap after dying in the same costume he used for his murders, as the main rival of Five Nights at Freddy’s 3(appearing as Scraptrap in the latter). A minor character in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location.

A subsequent antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, and the posthumous secondary antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy’s AR: Special Delivery, is the hardest animatronic to beat.

William Afton’s story is most often told through silent actions within retro-style mini-games, or by reading between the lines throughout the games. Between his presence in the mini-games and the gathering of information gleaned from most games. The community was able to gather some information about William.

He appears to be malevolent, sadistic and cruel. Smiling disturbingly as he kills children. He is also increasingly psychopathic and crazy. And also, he is able to hide his true nature under a mask of politeness, judging by the intro to Sister Location.

And also psychologically manipulates his son, Michael, presumably using his guilt for unintentionally causing the death of his younger brother in 1983 (if Michael is the older brother). In order to force Michael to obey his order.

Despite his sadistic and dangerous propensities. It is implied that he did not want his daughter Elizabeth to die, as he had warned her not to approach Baby and he sent Michael to the studio to free her. Making his daughter the only person he “could” care about.

Although Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator hints that he is responsible for the influence of Elizabeth’s bloodlust and sinister behaviour. And that he may even want her to continue her murderous legacy. And to continue her experiences for him.

It seems that as a Springtrap, Spring Bonnie’s AI is still there. After 40 years of non-use. The fact that the Springtrap follows the sounds of Balloon Boy implies that the AI is still there. As the suit existed supposed to follow the sounds of children.

William Afton’s motives for his actions. And history remains unknown to this day. The most likely choice is that he is just a sadistic monster who wanted to see people suffer because no other option makes enough sense to work.
